SEACELL

The viscose fiber enriched with seaweed

18.03.2024

SEACELL is a lyocell fiber containing approximately 19 % pure brown algae from Iceland. This special fiber is created by a worldwide patented process, which allows natural additives with positive effects for skin and body to be integrated into a cellulose fiber in a functionally permanent way. Technologically, it is possible to use SEACELL combined with any other fiber in a yarns.

The innovative cellulose fibers SEACELL are produced in a closed cycle. Thus, no toxic chemicals are released during the production process. The patented fibers are made from environmentally friendly, low-resource and 100% biodegradable natural materials. The process has been awarded the European Environment Award in the "Sustainable Technologies" category.

SEACELL gives yarn a soft and pleasant feel. The algae used in SEACELL is rich in vitamins, amino acids and minerals. As a result, the fiber has an antioxidant effect, even in the finished yarn, and is skin-friendly and breathable.
