What does ‘SUPER FINE’ mean ?

An explanation of yarn weights

20.03.2023

Yarns in the Super Fine category, also known as the Sock or Baby category have a running length of 400m - 500m to 100g, with a tension gauge of 27 - 32 stitches to 10cm. Sock/Baby yarns are usually knitted with needles between 2.25mm and 3.25mm in size.

Most sock yarns fall into this category, as do yarns for baby garments and light sweaters.
