What does ‘FINE’ mean ?

An explanation of yarn weights

27.03.2023

The yarn-weight designation Fine, also known as Sport, is defined as knitting to a tension of 23 - 26 stitches to 10cm, with between 300m and 400m per 100g. These yarns knit up on 3.25mm to 3.75mm needles.
This weight of yarn is suitable for knitting thick socks, but is also excellent for cardigans, sweaters and children’s clothes.
